Heart to Heart Campaign
Congenital Heart Defects:
Each year, approximately 1.5 million children are born in Uganda, and around 15,000 of these children have congenital heart defects. Of these, 8,000 require corrective surgeries. However, the country has the capacity to perform only 1,000 such surgeries annually, leaving a devastating backlog of 7,000 children in need of life-saving operations.
FY24/25. We aim to aid 10 children with heart defects to receive corrective surgeries.
